C-HR, bZ, bZ Woodland: Toyota is offering its charging adapters for free

While Subaru has lowered the prices of its various electric vehicles for the 2027 model year, the same cannot be said for its partner Toyota, which has opted for stability. However, a new development will provide some relief for customers’ wallets.

The 2027 C-HR, bZ, and bZ Woodland models, equipped with a NACS port for fast charging, will no longer require the optional CCS and J1772 adapter kit priced at $342 plus tax. These adapters will now be included as standard equipment on all models.

Under ideal conditions, it’s worth noting that these three vehicles can charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes at DC charging stations. A battery preconditioning system ensures consistent charging times in cold weather. In addition, the Plug & Charge feature enables automatic identification for billing purposes.

Here are a few other important points to keep in mind:

All models are eligible for the $2,000 provincial subsidy through December 31, 2026. Only the C-HR and bZ are eligible for the federal subsidy, which is currently $5,000 but will decrease to $4,000 on January 1, 2027.
