2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C: Do you happen to have $313,000 lying around?

The Porsche 911 GT3 is often considered the model that offers the best balance between road and track performance. For the 2027 model year, it will be available not only as a coupe but also as a convertible.

The new 911 GT3 S/C (Sport Cabriolet) combines the lightweight construction of the 911 S/T, including the carbon-fiber hood, fenders, and doors, with the power of the 911 GT3’s naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine, which produces 502 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. This engine is available exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and delivers 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.9 seconds.

Despite its electrically operated retractable soft top, which features a magnesium frame and can open or close in about 12 seconds, the 911 GT3 S/C weighs just 1,497 kg. It’s worth noting that it’s the only two-seater convertible in the 911 lineup—just like the limited-edition 2019 911 Speedster.

The rear stabilizer bar and the underbody panel beneath the rear axle are also made of carbon fiber. The ceramic brakes are at least 20 kg lighter than cast-iron ones, while the center-lock magnesium wheels (20-inch front, 21-inch rear) reduce unsprung weight by nearly 9 kg compared to aluminum ones. In addition, the double-wishbone front suspension is a first for a 911 convertible.

In terms of design, it’s worth noting that the black roof matches the black windshield frame, though the frame can also be ordered in the same color as the body. The stone guard film on the sides is also black with a matte finish. At the rear, the retractable spoiler features a Gurney flap, similar to those on the 911 S/T and the 911 GT3 Touring.

The interior is no exception

Inside, the 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C once again follows the lead of the 911 S/T with lightweight floor mats and door panels. Optionally, the four-way adjustable Sport Plus seats can even be replaced with lightweight bucket seats featuring a carbon-fiber frame.

The interior features extensive black leather trim, and an embroidered “GT3 S/C” logo appears in the center of the rear panel. This panel conceals the wind deflector, which can be deployed in two seconds at the push of a button. As in other 911 GT3 models, a switch is located where the start button would normally be, to the left of the steering wheel.

One last detail: an 80-liter leather storage box is available at no extra charge if you'd like to add some storage space behind the seats.

As the title of our article suggests, the new 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C costs a fortune. Its Canadian price has been set at $313,300, not including fees or luxury tax. Of course, there are plenty of options available. Notably, the “Street Style” package adds even more flair to both the exterior and interior. The first units are scheduled for delivery this fall.
