Earlier this year, we brought you rankings of the cheapest cars, SUVs/crossovers and electric vehicles on the Canadian market in 2025.

Of course, Canada means all kinds of road and weather conditions. For many people, four-wheel drive is a necessary and much appreciated necessity. It's just that they need to be fitted with quality tires...

The Car Guide has compiled below the top 10 least expensive all-wheel-drive vehicles in 2025. Please note that the prices shown include MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) and applicable fees at the time of publication. Prices are subject to change.

10. Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2025 – Starting at $32,523

With a 10-year/160,000 km powertrain warranty, an attractive price tag and proven reliability, the Eclipse Cross has a lot going for it. The excellent S-AWC all-wheel drive is included as standard on all versions, even the basic ES.

9. Subaru Crosstrek 2025 – Starting at $32,363

The Crosstrek has one of the best all-wheel drive systems (included as standard) and a practical format. Derived from the Impreza, it offers greater rear clearance and a raised seating position. Base models are powered by a 2-liter engine offering decent performance.

8. Toyota Corolla Cross 2025 – Starting at $32,320

The Corolla Cross will appeal to buyers thanks to its versatility and optional all-wheel drive, not to mention its proven reliability and low fuel consumption (7.8 L/100 km with four-wheel drive). The 2026 model will receive a new face.

7. Mazda CX-30 2025 – Starting at $32,063

Mazda's subcompact SUV benefits from the i-Activ system as standard. If you value the dynamics and driveability of a car, there's still the all-wheel-drive Mazda3, but the least expensive costs $34,713 in sedan form, so more than the CX-30.

6. Nissan Kicks 2025 – Starting at $32,052

The Kicks subcompact SUV received an all-new look, new technologies, increased power to 141 hp and optional all-wheel drive for 2025. Alas, this had the effect of increasing its price.

5. Toyota Corolla Hybrid 2025 – Starting at $31,415

The Corolla hybrid is based in part on the technology of the previous Prius. Very frugal, its average fuel consumption is 4.7 L/100 km, rising to 4.9 L/100 km with all-wheel drive. Its Hyundai and Honda rivals have to make do with front-wheel drive.
