Planning to buy a new vehicle in 2025? Several models have already been unveiled, some of course being more readily available than others.

Below, the Car Guide team presents an overview of 10 highly-anticipated new models due to hit Quebec roads over the next twelve months. In the vast majority of cases, prices have not yet been announced.

Acura ADX 2025

Acura

The all-new ADX is the small entry-level luxury SUV many Acura fans have been waiting for. It is positioned below the popular RDX while being 48 mm shorter. The interior is almost a carbon copy of the Integra's, while the platform and 1.5-liter turbocharged engine are the same. Unlike the front-wheel-drive Integra, however, the ADX benefits from all-wheel drive. It is expected to hit dealerships this spring, with a base price of around $45,000.

The Q5 is one of our best-selling compact luxury SUVs. For 2025, Audi is launching the third generation, based on the PPC (Premium Platform Combustion) platform also used for the new A5 sedan. The vehicle is larger and more spacious. Unsurprisingly, the designers have chosen to integrate the Digital Stage, consisting of two juxtaposed screens, a feature now shared by the brand's new models. The model will arrive in Canada in the spring, with the same engines. Plug-in hybrid versions will follow later.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 2025

Chevrolet

Who would have thought that the Corvette would one day unleash 1,064 horsepower? But the new ZR1 2025 does, without any electrification armed with a highly optimized 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine. Never before has an American carmaker produced such a muscular V8. Chevrolet boasts acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.3 seconds, a quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds and a top speed of 375 km/h. Finally, it's impossible not to mention the return of the split rear window, an important element in Corvette history.

Kia

For 2025, these two Korean electric crossovers receive a mid-term update that includes aesthetic and technical improvements. In addition to the high-performance N version, the former adds an XRT version focused on off-road driving... and finally a rear windshield wiper! The chassis has been reworked and soundproofing took up a notch.

With the second, equipment is enhanced and includes the latest version of Kia's multimedia system. A very explosive EV6 GT developing up to 641 hp also arrives. For both vehicles, a battery whose capacity increases from 77.4 to 84 kWh is included, resulting in a longer range.

Hyundai

Let's stay with the Korean manufacturer if we may, as the big brother of the IONIQ 5 and 6 goes on sale this spring. Based on the same E-GMP platform, the IONIQ 9 2026 stands out not only for its third row of seats, but also for its unique silhouette and better aerodynamics than the equivalent Kia EV9. Hyundai claims a range of between 485 and 540 km. The integrated NACS port will enable the vehicle to be connected directly to Tesla's fast charging stations.

Nissan Rogue PHEV 2026

Nissan

More than the fourth-generation Murano, it's the future Rogue PHEV 2026 that Nissan customers are eagerly awaiting. The model has yet to be unveiled but will go on sale by the end of 2025. Its technology will be borrowed from the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and will ensure that the Rogue is no longer one of the only SUVs in its class without an electrified option. A superb alternative to the 201-hp three-cylinder turbo engine.

Polestar

Half-car, half-utility... and no rear window! This new model is positioned between the Polestar 2 sedan and the Polestar 3 SUV. Its maximum range is announced at 484 km. The entry-level version is powered by an engine developing 272 hp and 253 lb-ft. The twin-engine version produces 544 hp and 506 lb-ft, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Given the surtax on vehicles manufactured in China, the first examples here will finally arrive from South Korea sometime in 2025 but can be ordered long in advance.

Unveiled in the summer of 2024, the first hybrid 911 is about to hit the road, marking a major turning point in the history of the German sports coupé. Called T-Hybrid, the mechanical option chosen is an all-new 3.6-liter turbocharged flat-6 combined with various electric motors. In total, this powertrain boasts a combined output of 533 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, figures that enable the GTS coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds.More details on the 911 GTS T-Hybrid.

Ram

The electric Ram 1500 REV has been pushed back to 2026, but the Ram 1500 Ramcharger with range extender will be available to order somewhere in the early months of 2025, with deliveries later in the year. The company expects much higher demand for the latter, whose 92 kWh high-voltage battery can be recharged while driving by a 3.6-liter V6 as a generator, giving Ram a total range of over 1,100 km, according to Ram. With 663 hp, this truck can also tow loads of up to 14,000 lb - a class-leading performance.

Toyota

This Japanese duo is getting a makeover and will compete more fiercely than ever with the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. The 4Runner 2025 goes on sale in March. Its turbocharged four-cylinder engine ably replaces the 4-liter V6 with 278 hp and 317 lb-ft but is also part of an optional hybrid system generating 326 hp and no less than 465 lb-ft of torque. The more adventurous can opt for the TRD Pro and Trailhunter versions.

The Passport 2026 adopts an even more off-road-oriented vocation with its new generation, which Honda describes as its most adventurous and capable SUV ever. Expected in dealerships in the early months of 2025, it will be available in TrailSport and TrailSport Touring versions. Its 3.5-liter V6 is back, but slightly more powerful (285 hp) and combined with a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
