Good news! Buying a 2020 Mitsubishi RVR will feel like buying a new vehicle. Why? Because the 2026 model is identical! That said, it's not the most modern in its segment. In fact, it's one of the most archaic, but that doesn't mean it's bad. In fact, it's extremely reliable and maintenance costs are minimal. It does require annual rustproofing to keep it in good condition for a long time, but otherwise, you're buying peace of mind.

Be sure to check its history, however, so you don't end up with a unit that has already been used as a short-term rental vehicle. Many of these models have been used by various rental companies, which provide only basic maintenance—if any!—before sending them to auction.

Now, whether you opt for the 2.0-liter or 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, keep in mind that they are basically the same.
