Everyone loves comfort and luxury, but when the time comes to buy a new vehicle, compromises sometimes have to be made on a budget. A second-hand model may be an option, but you have to be wary of the price, especially in the current climate.

Mazda3
Since its last redesign in 2019, the Mazda3 has impressed with its refinement and sophistication. In the GT version, with or without turbo engine or all-wheel drive, it can be a very good alternative to entry-level luxury cars. Its chic Audi-style interior and equipment appeal to technology and connectivity enthusiasts.
Ford Fusion
Sedans have fallen out of favor, and the Fusion has been phased out at the end of the 2020 model year. But if you're looking for a family car that's both spacious and upscale for a reasonable amount of money, you should consider it. Aesthetically, its grille and ribbed hood were reminiscent of certain Aston Martins. In Titanium or Platinum trim, the finish and range of equipment are impressive. Acura TLX
The TLX has long been shunned for its design and has never been able to threaten the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and other queens of this category. And yet, it's no slouch. Kia Stinger
Quality at Kia has come a long way since the middle of the last decade, and the Stinger is a good example. Launched in 2018, this large Korean sports sedan has only been around for a short time (Kia will discontinue it after 2023), but its well-finished, resolutely upmarket interior is one of its highlights. An early-generation example, with six cylinders and all-wheel drive, can be had for just $30,000 - a fraction of the price of German cars capable of matching its 365 hp.
Nissan Murano
Prefer an SUV for more space? Consider the Murano. The current generation, released in 2015, is still on the market. That's a shame for those looking for something new, but for a practical, affordable and luxurious SUV, a five- or six-year-old Murano SV, SL or Platinum certainly fits the bill. For around $20,000, you could find features such as a panoramic roof, beautiful leather upholstery and ultra-comfortable zero-gravity seats. The Murano favours luxury and refinement over above-average work capabilities.
