Quebec City AutoShow: same crowds, but record number of test drives

While Montreal was able to attract 14% more visitors to its auto show this year, it was business as usual in Quebec City, where 68,000 consumers and car enthusiasts showed up at the ExpoCité Exhibition Centre from March 5 to 10, just as they will in 2023.

This is a slightly lower attendance than before the pandemic, with the March 2020 edition welcoming just over 70,000 people.

That said, the electric vehicle test drives presented by CAA-Quebec in collaboration with the Electric Ride program were a hit. In fact, the Salon de l'auto de Québec was the event with the highest number of test drives in the province, despite the large amount of snow that fell on the last day.

Before the show got underway, the traditional Preview Benefit Evening set the tone by raising $186,000 for the Mobilis Foundation, surpassing previous records of around $150,000.

Year after year, Quebec City continues to stand out, and we can see the benefits when we see how happy our visitors are."

Dealers belonging to the Mobilis Corporation and a number of manufacturers made it possible to present a total of 34 vehicle brands, more than in Montreal. However, the absence of Honda/Acura, Mazda and Subaru was a disappointment to many visitors.

The 42nd edition of the Quebec City Auto Show will be held from March 4 to 9, 2025.
