First Tesla Cybertruck seen in Quebec

November 19, 2023 — Written by The Car Guide

When exactly will the Tesla Cybertruck arrive in Quebec? Nothing is certain, even four years to the day after the original prototype was unveiled.

A special event is scheduled for November 30 in Texas, when the automaker intends to deliver its first 10 examples to American customers. Mass production at the Austin mega-plant will begin later in 2024, as CEO Elon Musk has already announced.

In fact, development and testing are still going on, not only in the American desert but also... in Quebec!

At least one Cybertruck has been spotted testing on the province's roads in recent days, sometimes in St-Jérôme north of Montreal, sometimes on the south shore of Quebec City, notably at the St-Romuald Supercharger station.

Images published by the Tesla Model 3/Y Québec Facebook group and by Montreal Car Spotting quickly spread via social networks. The Cybertruck in question has more conventional wheels and, unlike the first prototypes, side mirrors.

Musk recently reiterated that Tesla has over a million reservations for the Cybertruck. Obviously, the actual number of orders will be much lower. We're also still waiting for final specifications and prices for this future competitor to the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV.
