6 used cars that make us think of Halloween
With Halloween just around the corner, children are eager to don their new costumes, knock on doors and fill their bags with candy and other treats. Motorists, on the other hand, will need to be extra careful when driving through the neighbourhoods.
Some vehicles fit the theme more than others. We're talking about those models that almost look disguised, scary or monster-like. So let's go with a lighter, funnier column than our usual articles and tips. Among all the vehicles we come across on the road or in used car inventories, here are seven that make us think of Halloween...
Pontiac Aztek
It's no coincidence that we start with the Aztek. This SUV with its highly questionable design is widely considered to be one of the ugliest in history. It makes you wonder how it got approved and why people bought it, beyond its versatility. GM discontinued it at the end of the 2005 model year.
Nissan Juke
The Juke is like that hyperactive kid who wants to play hero by finding a costume in his bric-a-brac. Marketed from 2011 to 2017, this odd-looking crossover made the most of a small turbo engine and even had a 211-hp NISMO version. If the goal is to look colorful and stand out, Halloween-style, mission accomplished!
Chevrolet Equinox
Some vehicles include orange in their body color palette. In the case of the curvaceous old-generation Equinox, this hue makes it look like a large pumpkin, don't you think?
Rolls-Royce Ghost
Okay, so the Ghost isn't a common car, but that's the point. Passing one on the road is like seeing a ghost (pardon the pun). Painted black, it looks even more sinister. Beware, Dracula could be behind the wheel!
Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye
We could have chosen the Demon, but a Challenger SRT Hellcat is easier to find... and cheaper too! Whether it's a Redeye version, a special edition like the Jailbreak, or simply a colorful example like the mauve “Plum Crazy”, no Dodge is better suited for Halloween, especially with 797 or 807 horsepower under the hood.
Dodge Challenger T/A
Let's finish with another Challenger, this one equipped with the T/A package. Yes, because with its surreal green hue and black surfaces on top, how can we fail to see a resemblance to the head of Dr. Frankenstein's monster?
