Thanks to this new partnership, your vehicle is listed for sale in a private auction reserved for Otogo member dealerships. That means a potential pool of over 600 buyers! How It Works
- Visit Otogo.ca and go directly to the “Sell My Vehicle” section to list your car.
- Enter your vehicle's information, upload your photos, and specify its condition directly on the registration form.
- Set your reserve price (the minimum you’re willing to accept) and submit your listing. Aukcio and Otogo provide a valuation tool to help you set your vehicle’s reserve price based on current market data.
- Your vehicle is automatically entered into the next auction cycle.
During the auction
Auctions are held every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Your reserve price remains confidential throughout the auction. Since no dealer knows the reserve price, everyone submits their best offer right from the start.
And the excitement doesn't stop there. Dealers watch the bids go up in real time: they see what other buyers are bidding and can raise their bids accordingly. The result is genuine competition that works in your favor from start to finish.

There's an entire network of buyers working for you!
If a bid reaches your reserve price, the sale is automatically confirmed and a contract is emailed to you. All you need to do is upload your driver’s license and vehicle registration through the Aukcio system to complete the verification process.
What happens next? There’s practically nothing for you to do. The dealer will contact you within 48 hours to arrange for pickup. Usually 5 to 10 business days later, they’ll pick up the vehicle at your address and take care of everything: payment, registration with the SAAQ, and administrative procedures.
Fees
Registration is free.
Fees apply only when a sale is finalized:
- $300 for vehicles priced under $30,000
- 1% of the final selling price for vehicles priced at over $30,000
These fees are automatically deducted from the proceeds of the sale. No initial payment is required.

If your vehicle doesn't sell
If your reserve price is not met, you will be notified immediately. You can relist your vehicle in the next cycle and adjust your price based on market feedback.
Good to Know
Are you leasing your vehicle? The platform also handles the sale of leased vehicles. Simply confirm the buyback amount and any applicable fees with your leasing company before submitting your car.
Are you interested in trading in your vehicle when purchasing another one from a dealership? Involve the dealership where you’re making the purchase from the very beginning. The transaction is then handled between licensed dealers, which requires their authorization.
