Decorate your Jeep like in Jurassic Park 30 years later
Released in 1993, the film Jurassic Park marked an entire era and produced a trilogy that has inspired a more modern one in recent years. So some Jeep Wrangler enthusiasts and owners have not hesitated to customize their vehicle to resemble the one that starred alongside the dinosaurs the first time around.
Thirty years later, the Jeep Graphic Studio is offering a new set of decals for all those who would like to dress up their Wrangler (or Gladiator) in the same way. Well, not quite, but almost.
"It was three decades ago this year that the 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara appeared in the first Jurassic Park movie, and since then the evolution of the Jeep brand and the Jurassic World franchise has been quite remarkable to see," said Jim Morrison, Executive Vice President and North American Jeep Brand Manager. This exclusive package gives Jeep fans and enthusiasts the chance to make their Jeep unique by reflecting their personality and pride of ownership."
The first set, priced at $550 US (approx. $735 Canadian) before taxes and delivery, includes a logo for each door, a "JP18" for the middle of the hood, decorative strips for the hood edge, others with the number "18" on the front fenders, one for the tailgate handle (Wrangler only) and finally an insert near the gearshift with T-Rex.
For an additional $100 U.S. ($133 Canadian), a second set adds a textured "Grassy Island" insert for the transfer case selector.
Jeep says these kits can be installed on any 2018 to 2024 Jeep Wrangler (including the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid) or 2020 to 2023 Jeep Gladiator.
