Is there a link between the color of the vehicle and the probability of an accident?

An article published on March 7, 2017 in the Journal de Montréal* reports that there would be a correlation between the color of a vehicle and its probability of being involved in an accident. According to this study conducted by an Indian team, based on a Singapore cab company, brightly colored vehicles would be less likely to be involved in road accidents.

The cab company used yellow and blue cars. Research showed that yellow cars were involved in 9% fewer accidents than blue cars.

Fun fact:
It seems that some colors are more appealing to birds. According to a study conducted on 1,000 cars in five English cities, birds leave more marks on red, blue and black cars.

The important thing, if resale value is not important to you, is to choose a color that suits you, a color that you won't get tired of after a short time.

However, if resale value is important to you, neutral colors are the best investment.
