
These 4 brands stand out for the quality of their dealerships
The quality of experience and service at a car dealership can make a huge difference to the choice of vehicle, the transaction itself and the relationship with the customer afterwards. It's also a reflection of the manufacturer's commitment and support for its network.
For the 34th year, the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) conducted a national satisfaction survey to crown the best brands in the country. More than three-quarters of CADA's 3,200 dealer members took part.
The survey measures dealer satisfaction with their respective brands in 17 major categories. It is intended to be an effective tool for dealers and manufacturers, enabling them to analyze their respective operations, improve their business relationships and prosper together.
Here are the results of the survey conducted in fall 2023:
Brands with 100 dealers or less :
- Highest overall satisfaction: Subaru (11th year running)
- Best dealer communications: Subaru
- Most improved overall satisfaction: Mitsubishi

- Highest overall satisfaction: Mazda (5th year running)
- Best dealer communications: Mazda (5th consecutive year)
- Most improved overall satisfaction: Volkswagen
In August 2023, Subaru and Mazda ranked second and fourth respectively among popular brands for overall consumer satisfaction in a study by American firm J.D. Power. Toyota was first.
