Will Toyota offer a plug-in hybrid version of the RAV4 Woodland 2026?

As you probably know, the RAV4 Woodland 2026 is the successor to the current RAV4 Trail. It boasts more adventurous styling, as well as a number of technical features enabling it to venture a little further off the beaten track. It also boasts a towing capacity of 3,500 lb, like many other versions of the RAV4 2026.
In the United States, this variant will also be offered as a plug-in hybrid, with an all-electric range of 80 kilometers. However, the Woodland will only be offered as a regular hybrid on our market, as Toyota Canada wishes to assess demand first, while not wanting to cannibalize sales of the new bZ Woodland due to arrive in winter 2026.
Essentially, it's a wagon version of the bZ, offering 375 hp and 418 km of range, but with even more advanced off-road capabilities. The bZ Woodland is in fact a clone of the Subaru Trailseeker unveiled at the last New York Auto Show, benefiting from X-Mode all-wheel drive.
In conclusion, Toyota will be offering four versions of the RAV4 plug-in hybrid. The SE, the XSE, the XSE with technology package, as well as the new GR-Sport version, whose vocation is, of course, the opposite of that of the RAV4 Woodland.
