Ford Super Duty 2025: more changes for Ford's workhorse
The North American Truck of the Year 2024 is getting better for 2025, both in terms of design and equipment. We're talking here about the Ford Super Duty, which has already benefited from updates in its last two editions.
To start with, the Platinum version enhances its appearance with a black-painted grille and tailgate appliqué, body-matched door handles and a new Onyx Black interior with Platinum Blue accents.
A new Plus package available in Platinum adds an exclusive satin-finish grille with bright chrome inserts, a Truffle Brown interior, perforated Venetian leather with French stitching and front seats that fold flat. There's also a 2 kW Pro Power Onboard generator to power appliances and tools.
A little lower down the range, the Lariat version adopts a synthetic ActiveX coating that makes the seats more durable and easier to clean. Two new paint finishes are also available: Avalanche and Ruby Red Metallic.
The optional Ford Pro 2.0 vehicle integration system makes it easier for customers to access and use controls when installing work equipment and accessories on their trucks. New towing technology packages, with options for backup cameras and blind spot monitoring including the trailer, will give the driver better visibility.
Finally, the 6.8-liter V8 (405 hp, 445 lb-ft) is now standard on XLT and Lariat versions, replacing the 7.3-liter block (430 hp, 485 lb-ft), which mimics the entry-level XL. The 7.3-liter engine replaces the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel (up to 500 hp, up to 1,200 lb-ft) on King Ranch and Platinum versions. Diesel remains optional on all Super Duty models. The only gearbox is a 10-speed TorqShift.
Pricing for the Ford Super Duty 2025 starts at $58,979 for an F-250 XL 4x2 Regular Cab model and rises to $121,660 for an F-450 Platinum 4x4 SuperCrew cab model. Freight and preparation costs are $2,395.
