Dodge presents its four-door Charger Daytona
Dodge used a media event in Wisconsin on Wednesday to officially unveil its new Charger Daytona in sedan format, which will join the coupe in the line-up for the 2026 model year.
The two electric models will only be available in one version, the Scat Pack, since the R/T has been dropped for 2026, as we wrote earlier this week.
“It's truly a credit to Dodge's design and engineering teams that, aside from the two additional doors, the Dodge Charger Daytona sedan embodies the same style and feel as the coupe, with the same wide exterior, driver-centric cabin, muscle car performance and standard all-wheel drive, combined with the practicality of four doors,” said Dodge CEO Matt McAlear.
The front and rear sections of the sedan and coupe are identical, as are the roof and tailgate. The same applies to body width. As for cargo capacity, there's a total of 1,090 liters when the rear seats are folded down.
Unbridled power
For 2026, the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack no longer requires the Direct Connection Stage 2 package to access its full power. As standard, it delivers 670 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, enough to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in just 3.3 seconds and reach the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds. It continues to feature a PowerShot button on the steering wheel that delivers an extra 40 hp for 10 seconds, as well as a number of driving modes including “Drift” and “Donut” for fun on closed circuits.
According to Natural Resources Canada, the Scat Pack version can travel up to 388 km officially on a fully charged battery. Plugged into a fast direct-current terminal, it can go from 20% to 80% in 24 minutes under ideal conditions.
The Track Package, available for both sedan and coupe, adds fearsome Brembo brakes with 16-inch discs and six-piston calipers at the front/four-piston calipers at the rear, 20-inch wheels shod with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires (305/35ZR20XL at the front, 325/35ZR20 at the rear), dual-valve adaptive suspension, high-back sport seats with integrated headrests in a mix of leather and suede, and more.
But that's not all...
Dodge will also be offering two new options with the Charger Daytona Scat Pack 2026: a gloss black hood (hand-painted) and matte black double stripes matching the Fratzog logo, creating a contrasting body finish.
The electric coupe and sedan will go on sale later in 2025 - prices still to be announced - as will the Charger SIXPACK models with Hurricane gasoline engines that Dodge has yet to unveil. We'll also see if the rumoured return of the V8 HEMI engine materializes. Stay tuned!
