Chevrolet Equinox EV 2024: pricing and availability details at last
Chevrolet has finally released pricing and availability details for the Canadian market of its new Equinox EV 2024 electric crossover, a long-delayed vehicle that many are eagerly awaiting.
It is built at the Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico, alongside the Chevrolet Blazer EV, not to mention the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX also manufactured by GM.
The Equinox EV will be available from Chevrolet dealers from February 22, in the following versions, all with front-wheel drive:
- 2LT TA from $48,199
- 2RS TA from $49,999
- 3LT TA from $50,899
- 3RS TA from $52,399
Note that these prices do not include the various transportation, preparation, dealer and other fees totalling no less than $3,299, nor the federal and provincial subsidies representing $12,000 (taxes included). Chevrolet confirms that deliveries will begin in the spring, more precisely in May or June.
Unlike the Blazer EV, there will be an entry-level 1LT front-wheel-drive version of the Equinox EV, but this will not be available for order until later in the year, and its Canadian price has not yet been announced.
Let's get back to the 2LT AWD version, because in addition to its affordable price, it offers the best range, at 513 km according to Natural Resources Canada, eclipsing the vast majority of competitors. As for the all-wheel-drive Equinox EV, orders will start being taken later in 2024 and prices are still to be announced, but expect a range of 459 km, again according to Natural Resources Canada.
Incidentally, the manufacturer estimates that the battery can regain around 112 km of range in 10 minutes when connected to a 150 kW fast-charging station.
