To celebrate its entry into Formula 1 this year, Cadillac is launching a CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, which will be produced in extremely limited numbers. In fact, only 26 units are planned for Canada and the United States combined.

Before production begins this summer, the car was officially unveiled today at the Miami F1 Grand Prix. It will make its Canadian debut during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend in Montreal, from May 22 to 24.

“The CT5-V Blackwing embodies the pinnacle of Cadillac’s track performance. With the F1 Collector Series edition, we’re infusing the energy and innovation of Formula 1 into a street-legal sedan,” said Kristian Aquilina, Cadillac’s global vice president.

The car reflects the Cadillac team’s colors with a Midnight Stone Frost paint finish and a monochromatic look, complemented by Carbon Flash black wheels, dark Harbour Gray brake calipers, and carbon-fiber side skirts with Switchblade Silver stripes. All badges and emblems are finished in gloss black.

In addition, the official F1 logo is applied to the doors using a special technique, and F1 and FIA logos appear on the rear wing and the engine supercharger cover, along with FIA logos on the side skirts.

To enter the vehicle, you step over a threshold featuring a custom-made plaque bearing the inscription “Cadillac Formula 1 Team.” The F1 logo is embossed on the headrests, the FIA logo appears on the carbon-fiber-trimmed center console, and a special F1 medallion adorns the gearshift knob. Of course, there is also a numbered plaque indicating the car’s position in the series of 26 units.

The most powerful Cadillac of all

Under the hood of the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 sees its power increase from 668 to 685 horsepower and its torque from 659 to 673 lb-ft. This marks a new record for Cadillac, surpassing the Escalade-V. It is the result of an upgraded supercharger, developed in collaboration with GM Motorsports.

The only transmission available is the 6-speed manual, and the Precision Package ($22,500) is included, making this the ultimate track-ready version of the Blackwing. The price has not yet been announced, but note that the 2026 CT5-V Blackwing normally starts at $118,411, including various fees and the federal luxury tax.

As for the Cadillac F1 team, it’s worth noting that it will be powered by Ferrari in 2026 and 2027, but will have its own engines starting in 2028.
