Acura ADX 2025: five things you need to know
The all-new Acura ADX 2025, little brother to the popular RDX, will arrive in Canadian dealerships this spring, and we now know the line-up and pricing.
If you're shopping for an affordable luxury SUV that combines style and sportiness, here are five things you should know about it...
1. Not so little...
This is hardly a subcompact model: the Acura ADX 2025 is 4,718 mm long, just 48 mm shorter than the RDX. Rear legroom is a generous 958 mm.
The big difference lies in cargo space. The trunk volume of the ADX is 690 liters. When the 60/40 split rear seatbacks are folded flat, the result is 1,560 liters. This compares with 881 and 2,260 liters respectively on the RDX. To facilitate loading, the floor is less than 700 mm from the ground, and a power tailgate is also included as standard.
2. The Integra engine
The Acura ADX 2025 borrows its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine from the Integra. Power and torque have not yet been specified, but the latter produces 200 hp and 192 lb-ft. The BMW X1 and Volvo XC40 are just a few examples of competitors offering more. Will a more muscular Type S follow next year?
Continuously variable transmission (CVT) is the norm, but unlike the Integra, the ADX benefits from all-wheel drive, and its system can send up to 50% of torque to the rear wheels. In addition, the driver can choose between four distinct modes - snow, comfort, normal and sport - not to mention an “individual” mode on the top-of-the-range version, allowing customization of the settings combinations.
3. Sport and safety
While its engine may seem a little underpowered, the Acura ADX 2025 promises an agile and safe ride. First, engineers have optimized the electronic power-assisted steering, and an independent sport suspension accompanies it. Secondly, the AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety and driver assistance technologies is found on every ADX. These include automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assist with power steering.

4. Three versions on the menu
The Acura ADX 2025 comes standard with a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen (wirelessly compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto).
In the middle of the range, the sportier-looking ADX A-SPEC features 19-inch wheels, high-gloss black trim, Ultrasuede seats (ventilated in the front), a flat-bottomed steering wheel covered in perforated leather, red contrast stitching, a chrome-plated sports gear knob, stainless steel sports pedals and LED ambient lighting.
Finally, the ADX Platinum Elite A-SPEC gets gloss black mirror housings and 19-inch black wheels, but above all integrated Google functionalities (offered with a free three-month/3GB data package), front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system and a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.
5. A fair price between Integra and RDX
Now let's talk price. The Acura ADX 2025 starts at $49,201, which includes various applicable fees totaling no less than $4,221. That's $100 more than the most expensive Integra, with the exception of the Type S. The top versions are priced at $51,201 and $55,701 respectively.
The previously mentioned X1 and XC40 cost more, not to mention the Alfa Romeo Tonale and Mercedes-Benz GLA. On the other hand, an Audi Q3 can be had for less. And in case you were wondering, the Acura RDX ranges from $57,525 to $66,355.
