2026 Buick Encore GX

In the subcompact SUV segment, the Encore GX straddles the line between mainstream and luxury brands, but it manages to hold its own. The top-of-the-line Avenir model, while more expensive, is the one to choose for its enhanced comfort and advanced technology. The only available engine is a turbocharged three-cylinder producing 155 horsepower. The optional all-wheel drive system replaces the CVT with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
